This article riles me too. So does the Center for Science in the Public Interest. You should be leery of any organization with a nonsense name like that. It usually means that it’s a den of bureaucratic busy-bodies who are up to no good. Would you have guessed from their name that CSPI is involved in food safety and nutrition?
“We don’t believe large facilities are the only place where outbreaks are happening,” said Caroline Smith DeWaal, food safety director at the Center for Science in the Public Interest in Washington.
Well, Ms DeWaal, considering you work for an organization with the word SCIENCE in the name, perhaps you could provide facts and not your beliefs.
“Necessity is the mother of invention,” Smith DeWaal said. “Why not create a cooperative whose sole job it is to truck this stuff to a composting facility and truck it back? It’s an expense, but way better than the unexpected expense of a major recall and implications to your farm if an outbreak is traced to your product. There are costs either way.”
I told you they were busy-bodies, thinking they know what’s best for everyone and demanding that everyone live as they see fit. What arrogant cunts. I would swear that I read almost those exact words in Atlas Shrugged, where some bureaucrat thinks they know how best to run an enterprise that they really know nothing about.
