We Are All Bradley Manning

(Edit 16/6/14) I changed this from a home page link to a blog post so that I have it for archival purposes. I still support Bradley Manning at face value, but there’s a big ol’ wtf going on here.

(Edit 18/5/14)I feel a little shame for this page and I don’t know if I should delete it or not. On the one hand I want to delete it because it’s so embarrassing. On the other hand, it’s part of my thought-flow and I want to document it. Maybe I’ll remove it from the front page.

Damn, dude. Are you that bad at PR? I respect your desire to be true to yourself, but by declaring that you want to be a woman you have alienated a lot of your supporters, including me.

In order to do what you’ve done you must be intelligent. But then,if you’re so intelligent, why have you been so public about becoming a woman?

I think that you were fucked up while you were in government custody. They twisted you.

What happened to Bradley Chelsea Manning while he she was a prisoner? Maybe he she had gender issues all along, but it seems too convenient. What a wonderful way to marginalize one of the leading dissidents of our time.

I stand by my statement that we are all Bradley Manning. His sexual orientation and gender identity are a non-issue. The way the government treats the least of us is the way the government treats all of us. Bradley Manning was denied his rights, treated like a sub-human criminal, and tortured. Letting the government get away with treating one human like that is tantamount to giving the government permission to do treat everyone like that.
