Dog owners are the world’s greatest masochists.  We know our dogs are going to die; we will watch them turn grey and decrepit and our hearts will break at their passing. Every. Single. Time.

But we have been doing it for 10’s of thousands of years and we will keep on doing it.  Because it’s worth it.
