There are rumors Zelensky is secretly helping Putin. If I’ve heard these rumors then Zelensky’s enemies have heard them too. In which case, we’ll know they’re true if Zelensky meets a tragic end soon.

I’ve been following the Ukraine situation since 2014. It was a blatant coup that overthrew Yanukovych, installing Yatsenyuk then Poroshenko and ultimately Zelensky.

For lack of evidence to the contrary, I’m going to take Crimea at face value. The Crimeans overwhelming supported joining Russia, and considering the history of the region, it’s not unjust for Russia to claim the region as its own.

And I’m going to accept the premises behind the Donbass and Luhansk separatist movements.

If I look at the situation as objectively as I can, Putin is doing the right thing.
